Bolder Chips

Bolder Chips wants to make the best corn products the world has ever tasted using unique ingredients that tell a story that they can be proud of. The first step to that end was establishing a relationship with the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe at the base of the legendary Sleeping Ute Mountain, between Four Corners and Mesa Verde, to source corn exclusively from their land. Honoring the centuries old tradition of nixtamalization, whole dried corn kernels are cooked and soaked with limestone and water overnight, and the next day a mill with volcanic plates is used to grind into a wet masa. The chips are kettle fried with Colorado Mills High-Oleic Sunflower Oil, the highest quality locally sourced oil available. After cooking, the chips are spun to release the extra oil and give them the right texture that makes them most unique. Finally, the chips are seasoned with a mixture of sea salt from the Pacific ocean near Hawaii, and bamboo extract, adding another layer of uniqueness.
